Mortgage Lighthouse:  Making Dreams Come True

 

I recently read a book designed to help business people attract perfect clients for their particular business.  It advised readers to get in touch with their personal mission—the reason that they are in business and what, if any, deeper purpose, their work is aligned with.  After getting in touch with one’s mission, the book advised, the next logical set is to communicate this information to the public and especially to any target groups.

 

At Pacific Inland Home Mortgage, we took our mission statement off the wall, dusted it off and placed it in the middle of our conference room table.  Then, a few of us sat and stared at it while we discussed our personal life missions and our professional missions as mortgage planners and mortgage consultants.  As we composed personal and professional mission statements, something really wonderful happened:  We all got in touch with how much we care about the fruits of our professional labors and how our job satisfaction is centered around the positive differences we make in peoples lives and NOT how much money we may make in a given transaction.  Then a light went on above our heads.  We realized that we have been advertising our competitive rates and our “Low Rate Guarantee Program” a lot more than we have been taking the time to let the public know who we are and what we have to offer beyond just lower mortgage rates and discounted closing costs.
